Wish List for AI Malaysia to Help Move Office
Dear AIM Members, Supporters & Donors,
Greetings from AI Malaysia
Amnesty International Malaysia is a non-profit organization campaigning to defend Human Rights and protect lives around the world. Each year Amnesty continues to advance the cause of campaigning to end the abuses of Human Rights violations.
We will be moving into a new bigger workspace, in May 2008 to A-3-3A, 8 Avenue, Jalan Sungai Jernih 8/1, Section 8, 46050 Petaling Jaya, Selangor (just 200 yards from our current office) which will make it much easier for us to organize more activities and events as we recognize that there is a need to reach a much wider selection of people. A bigger space will allow us to organize events so that our collective effort is well focused and participation enhanced.
We are also looking to have more meetings, conferences and dialogues conducted within the new office. Regrettably, we are currently facing a shortage of funds and equipment to move into the new office. We really depend on the generosity of individuals like you to fund our life-saving work by sending us your heartfelt contribution in any form of cash or office equipment which is necessary for our new office.
Your donation will help Amnesty in our advocacy work to:
- Free prisoners of conscience
- Stop torture
- Abolish the death penalty
- End violence against women
- Ensure that every person enjoys full human rights
